Remembering Tupac | Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, VLONE Collab & Restaurant

If you’re a hip-hop head, music lover or just a real person who recognizes real, you would know how important Tupac was and is to you and the world.  Tupac is someone that you can never forget from his lyrics, acting, and activism.

On April 7th 2017 Snoop Dogg inducted Tupac into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in New York. Snoop Dogg gave a heart felt speech to the late great rapper where he mentioned “Tupac is the greatest rapper of all time”. Later, singer Alicia Keys performed a medley of I Ain’t Mad at Cha and Ambitionz As a Ridah. Snoop and YG had the stage lit performing Gangsta Party; and T.I. came out with a Pac inspired outfit performing Keep Ya Head Up.

The music merch branding group Bravado and A$AP Bari’s brand VLONE teamed up to create a 19 piece, limited-edition collection inspired by Tupac. The color scheme of the line is red, black and orange. The line aesthetic includes symbols, his name, and some iconic photos embellished on the clothing. The clothing features fitted hats, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, bath robes and t-shirts. Take a look at some of the pieces below!

In Tupac’s journal, he dreamed of opening a restaurant; and now his dream is coming true! Bravado collaborated with Sweet Chicks restaurant in new York to create “Powamekka Cafe”, the safe place restaurant that Tupac dreamed about. The restaurant is filled with wall art featuring poetry, drawings gifted from Tupac’s family, and rare photos. Just like Pac envisioned it, the bathroom signs are switched from “men’s” and “women’s” to “playaz” and “divaz”. The menu of the restaurant is southern food which Sweet Chicks already had but with a twist like the new wings that are inspired by a recipe from Tupac’s cousin, Jamala.

Continuing the celebration of Tupac’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the collection and restaurant will be available to all on Friday, April 7th through Sunday, April 9th. If you are in New York or in the surrounding areas, you don’t want to miss this remarkable pop up, the address is below!
